Pregnancy classes
Pilates and pregnancy go together exceptionally well, as the areas we focus on during Pilates classes are the same areas focused on during pregnancy. Some of these being stamina, flexibility, breathing techniques and the position of baby. During class we will concentrate on the abdominal, pelvic floor and back muscles. When these muscles are strong they help to make your pregnancy more comfortable, labour easier and post-pregnancy recover quicker.
The nature of Pilates is such that you need to have a focused mind when performing the movements. Learning how to engage each individual muscle during a movement helps to develop your mind body connection. This connection will help during labour when you need to be able to tap into your body’s needs. Helping your mind to work with the labour and not against it. During your class you can work at your own pace. Variations of each exercise are available for beginners right through to advanced. You will be guided through exercises that focus on the core areas and muscles to best prepare you for your pregnancy, labour and recovery.
Exercising on all fours will be encouraged as it relieves pressure on the lower back and pelvic floor while helping baby into the best positions for delivery. Controlled flexibility of the pelvis and hip joints will be done to assist with encouraging an easy delivery.

Post Pregnancy classes
After the arrival of your bundle of joy life can be a little bit on the daunting side. With night time feeds, breastfeeding, dirty nappies and reflux, to name just a few, it’s important to not forget about Mommy. Our Pilates classes will give you a space to look after your body while interacting with other likeminded Mommies.
As a rule, if you had natural birth wait 4 weeks and post C-section 6 weeks. But its best to get the go ahead from your health care provider. Once you have the green light, our classes will guide you through post delivery recovery. Focusing on your abdominal, pelvic floor and back muscles which have all been through quite an ordeal with both the pregnancy and labour.
You will be encouraged to train at your own pace and fitness level with each exercise being modified to suit you. We will check for Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) and the correct methods will be used to assist in correcting DR. You are welcome to bring your baby along to the classes to either take part with you or nap close by while you have some Mommy time.

- Mommies who need a social friendly environment to come and do exercise

Mat classes
Our Group Mat Classes are great no matter what fitness level you are at. They will give you more in terms of fitness and strength development for beginners to advanced. Using different props like Thera Bands, Pilates balls and foam rollers combined with the Pilates techniques these classes are fun, varied and challenging.
Just let us know what level you are at when you contact us, so that we can slot you into the correct group.

trx classes
The TRX (Suspension Training) will give you the opportunity to challenge yourself. The use of the equipment will make it possible for you to push yourself that little bit further.
We will make use of the TRX so the classes are every changing giving you the variety needed to keep you coming back.

- Ladies who want to challenge themselves
- Ladies who get bored of a training program quickly
CLASS FORMAT:

Private classes
Private sessions are available, for beginners or advanced, if you feel like you need the little bit of extra attention or prefer the privacy of a one-on-one session.
The advantage of a private session is that you have my undivided attention and we can tailor each session to your specific needs.
LADIES WHOM WE WOULD RECOMMEND TAKING THE CLASSES:
- Private sessions can be tailored to your needs; therefore all ladies are recommended as long as you have clearance from your health care provider
